Streamlining a dynamic web presence.
Faced with a rapidly expanding customer base, and a cluttered dynamically-driven web presence, No-IP founders Dan Durrer and Joel Rasmus needed assistance. Calling upon a colleague for recommendations, it became quickly evident to the No-IP team that Lunchbox's Martin Kulakowski was the ideal candidate for the redesign.
While facilitating conversations to gain an understanding of where No-IP was heading, and teaming up with the engineering staff at Vital Werks, it became apparent that the new site would need to streamline the use of No-IP's services by putting everything from support to account management in one easy to use interface while:
- Reducing page weights
- Reducing bandwidth consumption
- Incorporating new promotional items
- Supporting the expanding service offerings
Following the generation of a sound, modular information architecture, design prototypes were generated to create an identity that would evolve with the brand online, while allowing the dynamic components of the site to dictate how information would be presented to the site user.
Utilizing style sheets for navigational elements and site-wide graphical components, the redesign reduced page weights and bandwidth consumption by as much as 30%. The new attractive, and easy-to-use interface eliminated the clutter of every-option-on-one-page, allowing information to be presented as it is pertinent.
"The new look puts our web identity on par with the quality of service we have always been providing."
